The verdict

JustLabs has the lowest sticker prices we track ($6-$9 for common tests) but adds $28 to every order ($18 draw + $10 physician). For a single test TestWell is cheaper all-in on every test in the table (TSH $32.99 vs $37). Order three or more tests at once and JustLabs is usually cheaper. Pick TestWell for one or two tests, a Labcorp option, or New York and New Jersey.

All-in columns add each company's per-order fees for a single-test order: TestWell $6 lab processing fee; JustLabs $28.00 ($18 lab draw fee + $10 physician order fee). Fees are charged once per order, so multi-test orders dilute them. Competitor pricing pulled from public ordering pages on 2026-09-05; subject to change.

Where does TestWell win?

  • One flat $6 fee per order versus $28 ($18 draw + $10 physician) — TestWell is cheaper all-in on every single-test order we track
  • The price you see is the price you pay: no fee appears at checkout that wasn't on the test page
  • Choice of Quest or Labcorp at checkout, plus New York and New Jersey through BioReference — JustLabs is Quest-only and cannot serve NY/NJ
  • Every reference range, guide and test page carries a named physician reviewer with a public license; JustLabs' 200+ blog posts are published as 'Justlabs Editorial' with no named clinician
  • 60+ curated panels with the real biomarker count shown (CMP = 14, CBC = 15), so 'a 4-test panel' isn't mistaken for 4 numbers

Where does JustLabs win?

  • Multi-test orders: three or more tests in one draw usually total less at JustLabs because the $28 in fees is paid once — a 4-test basic wellness panel is $30 + $28 = $58 versus TestWell's General Wellness Panel at $95.99 all-in
  • Faster quoted turnaround (1-2 business days) on many routine tests
  • Bilingual: every test and panel page is mirrored in Spanish
  • A larger long-tail of Quest specialty tests on the à-la-carte menu

We’d rather be honest about where they have an edge — pick the tool that matches your situation.

When is TestWell not the right choice?

Every service here has real limits, including ours. Skip TestWell — and consider JustLabs or another option — if any of these apply to you.

  • You're ordering three or more tests in one Quest draw and want the lowest total — JustLabs' $28 in fees is paid once, so bigger orders favor them.
  • You want Spanish-language test pages; TestWell's Spanish mirror is still rolling out.
  • You want a clinician consult included. A licensed physician authorizes every TestWell order, but that review is not a visit — there is no call to walk through results unless you bring them to your own provider.
  • You can't get to a draw site. TestWell is venous-draw only at Quest, Labcorp and BioReference locations; we don't ship at-home finger-prick kits.
