The Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) Screen uses immunofluorescence to detect antibodies that attack your own cell nuclei. A positive ANA can indicate autoimmune conditions including lupus (SLE), Sjögren's syndrome, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, and mixed connective tissue disease. If positive, the reflex titer and pattern help narrow down the specific condition.
