The Thyroid Panel with TSH is the classic thyroid workup that Quest and Labcorp have offered for decades: TSH, Total T4 (thyroxine), T3 Uptake, and the Free T4 Index (FTI) — a value calculated from Total T4 and T3 Uptake that estimates free hormone activity. It screens for hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism and is a good choice for tracking trends against older results from the same panel. Note: this panel estimates free hormone levels rather than measuring them directly. If you want directly measured free hormones, the Essential Thyroid Panel (TSH + Free T4 + Free T3) is the modern equivalent.
