This comprehensive celiac panel tests for the antibodies associated with celiac disease, an autoimmune condition triggered by gluten. It typically includes tTG-IgA, tTG-IgG, DGP-IgA, DGP-IgG, and total IgA. Testing multiple antibodies improves detection accuracy, especially in people with IgA deficiency. You must be eating gluten regularly for at least 2–3 weeks before testing for accurate results.
Comprehensive celiac antibody screen: Tissue Transglutaminase IgA (tTG-IgA, the most sensitive marker), Total IgA (to detect false-negative IgA deficiency), and Deamidated Gliadin Peptide IgG/IgA.
Anyone with chronic GI symptoms (bloating, diarrhea, constipation), unexplained iron deficiency anemia, infertility, family history of celiac, type 1 diabetes, autoimmune thyroid disease, or considering a gluten-free diet (must test BEFORE going gluten-free).
