TestWell vs Jason Health
$5–$15 Quest tests, an $18 lab collection fee in the cart, and Quest as the only lab. An honest side-by-side comparison covering price, lab partners, test selection, and turnaround.
Pricing data verified October 10, 2026.
The verdict
Jason Health sells Quest tests at $5–$15 stickers and adds an $18 lab collection fee in the cart. For one test, TestWell is cheaper all-in on 40 of the 59 tests both companies sell — the specialty assays by $12–$72 (D-dimer $75.99 vs $148, IGF-1 $43.99 vs $93, reverse T3 $41.99 vs $88), while the $5–$15 commodity tests go to Jason Health by $2–$6 (CMP $26 vs $28.99). From two routine tests up, Jason Health usually totals less because its fee is paid once. Pick TestWell for a single test, a Labcorp draw, New York or New Jersey, 1–3-day turnaround, or physician-reviewed guidance with your results; pick Jason Health for a multi-test Quest cart on price alone.

How do prices compare on common tests?
TestWell prices pulled live from our catalog. Jason Health prices verified 2026-10-10. Across the 59 tests both companies sell, TestWell is cheaper all-in on 40 for a single-test order; see the real-order table below for multi-test carts.
All-in columns add each company's per-order fees for a single-test order: TestWell $6 lab processing fee; Jason Health $18.00 ($18 lab collection fee). Fees are charged once per order, so multi-test orders dilute them. Competitor pricing pulled from public ordering pages on 2026-10-10; subject to change.

TestWell totals are live catalog prices plus the single $6 lab processing fee. Jason Health totals are their sticker or panel price on 2026-10-10 plus $18 in per-order fees. New York and New Jersey orders at TestWell use BioReference pricing, which differs for some items.
Where does TestWell win?
- •One $6 fee per order versus $18, and the fee is on every TestWell test page, not added in the cart — TestWell is cheaper all-in on 40 of the 59 matched single-test orders (checked 2026-10-10)
- •Specialty tests priced like commodity tests: D-dimer $75.99 all-in vs $148, methylmalonic acid $55.99 vs $123, IGF-1 $43.99 vs $93, reverse T3 $41.99 vs $88, free & total PSA $54.99 vs $98, chlamydia & gonorrhea $58.99 vs $98, advanced lipid panel $96.99 vs $148
- •Choice of Quest or Labcorp at checkout, plus New York and New Jersey through BioReference — Jason Health is Quest-only
- •Vitamin D by LC-MS/MS (Quest 91735) at $47.99 all-in versus their immunoassay version (Quest 17306) at $63
- •Results in 1–3 business days on most tests, with the reviewed reference range and what can move the result on every report; Jason Health quotes 1–6 days by test
- •Every reference range, guide, calculator and test page carries a named physician reviewer with a public license, plus verified patient reviews; Jason Health's test pages carry a paragraph of description and no named clinician
- •Curated panels that beat their à-la-carte stack where it counts: the Essential Thyroid Panel (TSH, free T4, free T3) is $55.99 all-in vs $58 for the same three tests there
Where does Jason Health win?
- •The $5–$15 commodity tests — CBC, CMP, lipid panel, TSH, free T4, iron/TIBC, hepatic panel, uric acid, LDH, GGT, PSA — are $2–$6 cheaper all-in even after the $18 fee, and far cheaper at sticker
- •Carts of two or more routine tests: the fee is paid once, so the four physical tests (CBC, CMP, lipid, TSH) are $51 there vs $55.99 for TestWell's General Wellness Panel, and nine wellness tests are $151 vs $195.99 for the ten-test Essential Health Panel
- •One test where TestWell is simply more expensive: MMR immunity titers, $83 there vs $295.99 here — Quest's MMR panel costs TestWell more through its lab network than Jason Health charges retail. PT/INR + PTT is $32.99 all-in drawn at Labcorp through TestWell vs $33 there, but $60.99 drawn at Quest. (Their $70 'Celiac Disease Comprehensive Panel' is Quest's two-marker tTG-IgA + total IgA screen with reflexes; TestWell's $124.99 panel runs five results up front, so the two are not compared)
- •Orders stay valid for 12 months, there is a phone line, and the company has operated since 2017
- •Tests TestWell does not carry: HIV-1 RNA PCR, hepatitis C RNA PCR, trichomonas RNA, cardiolipin antibodies, Sjögren's antibodies, anti-dsDNA, CH50, BNP, TBG, hepatitis A IgM, COVID-19 antibody
We’d rather be honest about where they have an edge — pick the tool that matches your situation.
Is Jason Health legit?
Yes. Jason Health is a real direct-to-consumer lab-ordering service that has operated since 2017: you pay online, a physician in their network writes the order, and your blood is drawn at a Quest Diagnostics patient service center — the same CLIA-certified Quest lab that runs TestWell's Quest orders, so the assays and reference ranges are identical for those tests. FSA/HSA cards are accepted, orders stay valid for 12 months, and there is a phone number on every page.
The things to know before ordering are structural, not red flags: the test pages show sticker prices and the $18 lab collection fee appears in the cart, so a $5 CBC costs $23; Quest is the only lab, which rules out New York and New Jersey for self-ordered draws and any town where Labcorp is the closer site; turnaround is quoted at 1–6 days by test; and the test pages carry a paragraph of description rather than physician-reviewed guidance. If none of those matter for your order, it is a legitimate way to buy Quest tests cheaply — especially several at once.
Jason Health alternatives
TestWell — one $6 fee per order instead of $18, Quest or Labcorp at checkout, BioReference in New York and New Jersey, 1–3-day turnaround on most tests, and every test page and reference range reviewed by a named physician. Cheaper all-in for a single test on 40 of the 59 tests both companies sell, and the better buy on specialty assays; not the cheapest for a multi-test cart of routine tests.
JustLabs — the same Quest-only, low-sticker model with $28 in fees per order ($18 draw + $10 physician) instead of $18; compared on our JustLabs page.
Quest Health (questhealth.com) — Quest's own storefront. Same lab with no separate draw fee, but sticker prices run 4–7× higher (TSH $49, vitamin D $75); see our Quest Health comparison. Labcorp OnDemand is the equivalent for Labcorp-only areas, and Ulta Lab Tests and Walk-In Lab sell both labs à la carte with their own fee structures.
When is TestWell not the right choice?
Every service here has real limits, including ours. Skip TestWell — and consider Jason Health or another option — if any of these apply to you.
- You're ordering two or more routine tests in one Quest draw and none of TestWell's curated panels covers your list — Jason Health's $18 fee is paid once, so à-la-carte carts of routine tests favor them.
- You need MMR immunity titers (Jason Health is $213 cheaper), PT/INR with PTT drawn at Quest rather than Labcorp, or a two-marker celiac screen rather than the five-result panel TestWell sells.
- You need a test TestWell doesn't carry (HIV-1 RNA PCR, hepatitis C RNA, trichomonas, cardiolipin or Sjögren's antibodies, BNP).
- You want a clinician consult included. A licensed physician authorizes every TestWell order, but that review is not a visit — there is no call to walk through results unless you bring them to your own provider.
- You can't get to a draw site. TestWell is venous-draw only at Quest, Labcorp and BioReference locations; we don't ship at-home finger-prick kits.

Frequently asked questions
Are TestWell and Jason Health using the same labs?
When the lab partner is the same (Quest or Labcorp), the actual analysis is identical — same machines, same reference ranges, same CLIA-certified facility. The differences are price, ordering experience, and what's included.
Can I switch from Jason Health to TestWell mid-year?
Yes. Lab tests aren't subscriptions you have to cancel — each order stands alone. If you've already paid for a year of Jason Health, use what you've paid for, and order any additional tests through TestWell.
Will my doctor accept TestWell results?
Yes. Your results are CLIA-certified lab results from Quest or Labcorp — the same labs your doctor uses. You can download a PDF and bring it to any provider.
What does a Jason Health order actually cost?
The sticker price of each test plus an $18 lab collection fee per order, which appears in the cart rather than on the test pages. A $5 CBC is $23 all-in; a $10 TSH is $28. At TestWell the same TSH is $26.99 plus a single $6 fee, $32.99 all-in. The fee is per order, so adding tests to a Jason Health cart brings the average down quickly.
Is Jason Health cheaper than TestWell?
It depends on what you order. For one test, TestWell is cheaper all-in on 40 of the 59 tests both sell (checked 2026-10-10) — by $12–$72 on specialty assays like D-dimer, IGF-1 and reverse T3 — while Jason Health is $2–$6 cheaper on the $5–$15 commodity tests. From two routine tests up, Jason Health usually totals less because its $18 fee is paid once. Compare the all-in total for your specific list, not the stickers.
Is Jason Health legit?
Yes — it has sold physician-ordered Quest tests online since 2017, draws at Quest Diagnostics patient service centers (the same CLIA-certified lab TestWell uses for Quest orders), accepts HSA/FSA cards and keeps orders valid for 12 months. The trade-offs are structural: an $18 fee added in the cart, Quest only (no New York or New Jersey), 1–6-day turnaround quotes, and no physician-reviewed content with the results.
What are the best alternatives to Jason Health?
TestWell for single tests, specialty assays, Labcorp, New York/New Jersey, faster turnaround and physician-reviewed results pages; JustLabs for the same low-sticker Quest model with higher fees; Quest Health for buying directly from Quest at higher prices; Labcorp OnDemand for Labcorp-only areas. For a large Quest-only cart of routine tests, Jason Health itself is often the cheapest total.
Does Jason Health serve New York or New Jersey?
Not as of our check: Jason Health orders are drawn at Quest Diagnostics only, and Quest does not accept self-ordered tests in New York or New Jersey. TestWell routes those states to BioReference Laboratories automatically.
Are Jason Health and TestWell using the same lab?
For Quest orders, yes — both send you to the same Quest patient service centers, so the assay and reference ranges are identical for matched tests. One exception worth knowing: Jason Health's vitamin D is Quest's immunoassay version (test 17306) while TestWell orders the LC-MS/MS version (91735). TestWell also offers Labcorp at checkout and BioReference in NY/NJ.
