Recent blood donation, common medications and recent illness can change a Chronic Fatigue Panel result without anything being wrong. Recent blood donation can lower RBC, Ferritin and Iron and can raise TIBC — wait 6–8 weeks after a whole-blood donation for an anemia baseline. Common medications can raise ALT and WBC and can lower Vitamin B12 and Cortisol — continue; report muscle pain to the prescriber. Recent illness can raise Ferritin and can lower Iron — wait 2 weeks — illness can mask iron deficiency.
