This test combines a complete urinalysis with an automatic reflex to culture. First, your urine is analyzed for physical and chemical properties (pH, protein, glucose, blood, leukocytes, etc.). If the results suggest a possible infection — such as elevated white blood cells or bacteria — the lab automatically performs a urine culture to identify the specific bacteria and test antibiotic sensitivity. This eliminates the need to order a separate culture, saving time and an extra lab visit. Ideal for patients with UTI symptoms, recurrent infections, or when a provider needs a complete picture from a single sample.
