The Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) is a non-invasive screening tool for colorectal cancer that detects hidden (occult) blood in stool samples. Unlike older guaiac-based tests, FIT specifically targets human hemoglobin, reducing false positives from diet or medications. The American Cancer Society recommends annual FIT testing as an acceptable alternative to colonoscopy for average-risk individuals aged 45 and older. A positive result warrants follow-up with a diagnostic colonoscopy.

1 biomarker tested
Your FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test) results will include values for each of the 1 biomarker tested, along with reference ranges. Results are reviewed by a licensed physician before being released to your secure portal.
If any values fall outside the normal range, your report will include guidance on what that may mean and recommended next steps. You'll receive an email notification when your results are ready, typically within 3–5 business days.
