This general hepatitis panel screens for the three most common types of viral hepatitis. Hepatitis A is typically acute and self-resolving, Hepatitis B can be acute or chronic, and Hepatitis C is often chronic and can lead to liver damage if untreated. The panel includes Hepatitis A antibody (Total), Hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody, Hepatitis B core antibody, and Hepatitis C antibody.
