The MaterniT21 PLUS NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Test) analyzes cell-free fetal DNA circulating in the mother's blood to screen for common chromosomal conditions including Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), and Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome). This version includes fetal sex determination — find out if you're having a boy or girl from a simple blood draw as early as 10 weeks. Unlike amniocentesis, this test carries no risk of miscarriage. It is a screening test, not diagnostic — positive results should be confirmed with diagnostic testing. Performed exclusively at Labcorp using their proprietary MaterniT21 technology.
