Is it the same test?

Yes. Both orders are analyzed at the same CLIA-certified lab, so the assay, the reference range and the number on your report are identical. You are paying for the ordering experience, the physician authorization and any bundling — not a different test.

Where does the price difference come from?

Ulta Lab Tests lists a lower-looking sticker and adds a $12.95 specimen collection fee at checkout, so a single test costs $35.90. TestWell's $26.99 sticker plus one $6.00 lab processing fee — $32.99 — is the whole price. The fee gap narrows when several tests share one order at either company.

When is Ulta Lab Tests the better choice?

• Lower sticker prices on most individual tests — and cheaper all-in once you put two or more tests on the same order, because the $12.95 fee is per order, not per test
• Far larger catalog: 2,000+ tests and 400 panels, including specialty assays we don't list
• Weekly promotions on rotating tests
• You want a clinician consult included. A licensed physician authorizes every TestWell order, but that review is not a visit — there is no call to walk through results unless you bring them to your own provider.
• You can't get to a draw site. TestWell is venous-draw only at Quest, Labcorp and BioReference locations; we don't ship at-home finger-prick kits.
